Course Description: 

The session examines an overview of national healthcare initiatives and the current congressional landscape. The 2024-2025 legislation and regulation that is being discussed/implemented; new legislation on the horizon; and other regulatory actions that have been taken and are expected to take place in the near-term and later.  This session will include will look at the impact the 2024 elections have of healthcare and directives of Congress in the new session. Overview of employer reporting, site-neutral payment reform, single payor, and Medicare and how this impacts brokers and employers in the group market.  

Learning Objectives: 

• Agents will better understand specific policy proposals that have been and are under consideration or are being developed by Congress and the Administration.

• Agents will learn about the political background and the changes and processes that are leading to actions being made.
